Paul Virant, chef and owner of Vie Restaurant located at 4471 Lawn Avenue in Western Springs has been awarded a Michelin Star award from the Michelin Midwest restaurant guide.

Mr. Virant is not new to the list of prestigious awards for culinary artists, as he has appeared on the television show "Iron Chef", was named Best New Chef in 2007 by Food and Wine Magazine. In the Village he has earned the reputation as one who is generous and supportive of community organizations and charities such as the local schools and Taste of the Arts.

At the Village Board meeting on December 20th President Bill Rodeghier honored Virant by reading a resolution congratulating him for his accomplishments and thanking him for his service and contributions to the Community.
