1 Injured in Head-On Collision Near 47th and East
A truck collided with a car just south of the railroad tracks around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
One person was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a semi truck hit a car head-on near the intersection of 47th Street and East Avenue in La Grange, police said.
The truck was traveling northbound on East Avenue around 4:30 p.m. when it crossed the yellow lane line and struck the car just south of the railroad tracks, Sgt. Erik Berg said.
The car’s driver was transported to Loyola University Hospital, but the extent of the injuries is not known. Both the passenger in the car and the driver of the truck were not hurt, Berg said.
Police are still investigating the collision and have no other information at this time.
