An Evening of Art and Jazz in La Grange

Get an early look at the West End Art Festival on Friday night with food, jazz and artist preview.

The La Grange Business Association, hot off another successful summer art auction, opens their weekend of art and music at the West End Art Festival with An Evening of Art and Jazz on Friday, Sept. 14.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. in the West End Business District across the street the Stone Avenue Train Station and runs until 9 p.m.

Still want more music? Head over to the 3rd Annual Jazz and Blues Fest in La Grange Park, which runs until 11 p.m.

Attendees will enjoy food from local restaurants, a cash bar, the chance to mingle with artists showing work at the West End Art Festival and some smooth jazz from the Marlene Rosenberg Septet featuring vocalist Tammy McCann. Rosenberg, the septet's composer, bassist and bandleader is a fixture of Chicago's jazz scene and McCann is an opera-trained singer who toured as a backup singer for the legendary Ray Charles.

Isn't it great to live in La Grange? It doesn't get much better than this!
