Chances of Midweek Storms, 70s Later in Week

A mostly sunny week ahead, but a chance of some more flash storms on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, cooling off a bit more by the end.

It's hard to believe at times like Saturday afternoon, when the lightning is crashing down and the rain is so hard you can't even walk through it, that we're in the middle of a .

But when the pavement is dry just a few hours later leaving nary a puddle, it's clear again: rain this summer has come almost exclusively in the form of freak, violent flash thunderstorms, and nothing else. We might see a few more of those this week... and then again, maybe not. Flash thunderstorms are, by their nature, hard to predict.
