Local Acts Fill the Bill For Rocktoberfest 2012
Prepare to get moving as these local acts rock out this year's Rocktoberfest in Gordon Park.
A selection of local acts is looking to bring down the house at this year's Rocktoberfest event at Gordon Park on Sept. 15.
Now in its fourth year, this annual event presented by the Auxiliary of the Community Nurse Health Center, aims to raise money for the continued efforts of community nurse and throw a fun neighborhood event at the same time.
Some exciting local acts are on the bill this year to keep the party going all night.
Band Schedule:
Far-Sighted: This local, up-and-coming act features Lyons Township High School students Christian Naval, Mitch Galgan and Nathan Zaworski, rocking the blues and classic rock jams for their set. Based in La Grange Park, these guys have playing all over the area for the last year and a half. You can check out their sound on their Reverb Nation band page here. Check out Ain't Got No Rights for a riff-heavy, bluesy sample of what these guys are all about.
The Bad Dads Band: Comprised of, you guessed it, some bad dads, these guys blew the crowd away at last year's Rocktoberfest and are headed back for round two. If you missed them last year and want to check them out, take a look at their page on Reverb Nation here. Hailing from Mount Prospect, IL, these guys know all the classics and are sure to have a set list packed with great sing along opportunities.
Infinity: You can pretty much count on these guys playing Journey's Don't Stop Believing at Rocktoberfest—they are a Journey cover band after all. These guys have played a ton of festivals since they got together in 1985 covering their favorite Journey songs. Over there years they've expanded to include other classic rock favorites. Check them out on Reverb Nation here.
You can check out all these acts at this year's Rocktoberfest at Gordon Park in La Grange. Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door. Visit the event's official website at www.therocktoberfest.com to purchase tickets and give a "tip" to your favorite Celebrity Bartender. I'm pretty sure you meant September 15 and not August 15.

Thanks Laura. I did. I've done that twice today actually. I guess I just can't let August go.
Thanks.

Thanks Dave. I thought so, but their page said Melrose Park. Weird? Maybe that's where they practice.
