The best child care in the area is Little People's Country and Little People's Academy of Arts & Education of LaGrange because of their involvement in the community and all the awesome art and music activities. There teacher to child ratios and the exceptional taeching staff make this a perfect place for children and famlies.

Grand Avenue Preschool & Day Care in Western Springs is by far THE BEST preschool and day care in the state!! The directors, teachers and staff care about each and every child. My neighbors sent their children there 15 years ago and their children still go back to visit. I am a current Grand Avenue family and I feel the same way. They instill such a love for learning in their students!!

Little People's Country & Little People's Academy of Arts and Education is phenominal! The children not only receive the benefit of great curriculum, they experience an art program, spanish class, music, the infants and toddlers learn sign language. Both of my children have attended both schools and as a parent I am so proud of how they accomplished so many academic goals ahead of schedule. The teacher:child ratios are a huge plus. I also appreciate the fact that they utilize the community resources and integrate them into their program.

My daughter has been at Little People's Country since she was eight weeks old. It was terrifying to leave her when she was that little! LPC has made me feel comfortable, included, communicated to. Those teacher's love my little girl -- what more could a new mom ask for!!

LIttle People's Country in LaGrange! Both of my children attend LPC and I am always so amazed and proud of how advanced they are socially and academically compared to other children their age who don't attend LPC. The teachers provide wonderful learning and play activities throughout the week and truly care for the children. I would highly recommend LPC to anyone!

Little People's Country in La Grange! My child has blossomed in the care of these wonderful teachers, directors and involved parents. They actually have a curriculum for all the students, not just the pre-K and K. Thank goodness for infant sign language and baby yoga! They challenge my toddler and the things she learns there always amazes me. From the songs she sings, to the art she brings home, the ease in which she started talking, counting and speaking Spanish. It's so fun to read her activity sheet each day! On top of it, the directors and owners treat their teachers well. I have spoken to many teachers and they seem pretty happy there which translates the care of the children. In the winter, I saw the owner walking around the parking lot brushing snow off the teachers cars. My child goes on and on about her teachers!

Little People's Country gets my vote for sure. I have had my children attending since my oldest (now in Kindergarten program) was 3 months old. The staff is phenomenal, the activities far exceed any other program I've investigated, and the care the children receive cannot be outdone. I have explored and shadowed other programs in the area and am so convinced the LPC is the best in class.

Little People's Country in LaGrange, IL is the best! My little girl has been at LPC since she was 12 weeks old (she's 2 now) and from the first day I felt completely comfortable. She is not only in daycare, but school everyday. She learns and enjoys math, Spanish, music, and art classes. She goes on many field trips in town and on they LPC bus. The facility has a great playground with another building for a wonderful art academy. LPC not only teaches learning and the arts, but also incourages play. The teachers are wonderful, loving and always updating me on her daily activities. My daughter's smile when I drop her off and when I pick her off says it all. She talks her baby talk about all her teachers and friends every day, which makes me smile.

Little People's Country--they have a comprehensive curriculum and are incredibly service oriented. They are like a second family to your child.

Little People's Country in La Grange is the best. My daughter has gone there for almost two years and she has grown so much in her time there. The staff is so friendly, so the school has a very "family" feel, and they all seem to know every child so it has not been difficult for her to move up. It is not only a daycare, but also a school and it is amazing how much all the children learn there.

Definitely Little People's Country! They care about each and every child and involve them in so many different types of learning experiences that the kids don't even know how much they are learning. They are extremely family oriented and our two kids have learned so much - from manners, to math, to science and reading!

Gee, I wonder how many of the above "comments" come from employees of the businesses?

But not really a "Readers Choice" then, is it? But OK, then I vote for Oscar's Daycare, Liquors and Casino.

Gosh Oscar, what a good idea! Now that you mention it, I will let the "employees of the business" konw to comment if they wish. As the school's Executive Director and owner was the first comment. The rest are from parents. I'm pretty darn proud of this school, the administrative team, the teachers and the famlies who are the most supportve, educated, informed, community oriented group of people I have ever had the privilege to serve! .

Either way, these are just nominations. But it's great to hear from everyone who loves a business!

Agree with Cindy P - I can tell you that as a parent of LPC I was proud to submit my comment on the care of my children and nominate LPC. It is irresponsible for OSCAR to throw out such a allegation. I collaborate with many many parents of LPC children and we are ALL proud to submit our comments and we are NOT employees, but clients.

@ Elizabeth...you state that you agree with Cindy P., who has identified herself as the school's Executive Director and owner, and then you call me irresponsible for suggesting that employee's of the businesses are responsible for some of the nominations?

Little People's Country in LaGrange is by far the best place we could have chosen for our boys. We are foster parents of two wonderful toddler's that have been at Little People's Country since they were placed with us last year. The entire staff there has been very understanding and compassionate with the boys and both of them have grown and learned so much while in their care.

Hey everybody, my daughter is in her second year of summer camp at Little People's. She will be 10 next month and it is a real challange finding a program she might enjoy at this age. Here's the deal... she loves it! I can hardly get her out of there at the end of the day. She thinks the teachers are "crazy cool" and I love that they are mature adults. We also love the fact that Little People's allows us to select how many days and weeks she attends. It is pricey, but I could never do all the things she gets to do every day. Lots of field trips, huge calander, she always has stories to share. She loves the food to. What more could I ask for. I vote for Little People's in LaGrange hands down!

Proud parent of a Little People's alum. My daughter started attending at 18 months and finished up w/ summer camp at age 9 and that was only due to the fact that we moved. She's now 12 and STILL remembers the wonderful teachers/caretakers at LPC. I have recommended LPC to many parents in the LaGrange area and I still miss the teachers and the LPC "community".

For Oscar who commented above, I am not an employee of LPC but know that many of the employees at LPC are also "parents of LPC" - meaning their children attend/attended LPC. So, I think their vote more than counts.

In fact, I am so pro-LPC, that I would LOVE to have a LPC close to my current home so that my daughter could still attend summer camp & potentially be a junior counselor - their programs were/are THAT GOOD!

Thank you LPC for playing such an integral part in my child's life - as a working mom and single parent most of the time she attended, you were a HUGGGEE help and knowing my child was in safe hands meant a great deal!!

Little People's Country is the best. Both of my daughter's have gone there since they were infants (12 weeks old) and I couldn't be more proud of who they have become over the past few years because of the amazing teachers at LPC. The teachers are truly an extension of our family and think about every child individually. The teacher-child ratio is excellent which has always made me feel confident that they are getting the best care and attention they've needed at every age. The best thing about LPC is the curriculum, even beginning in the infant room. From basic skills to music, art, dance and Spanish, LPC is giving my girls both daily inspiration and an advantage when they enter grade school. The Directors (Cindy and Laura) think of great things that make the kids and our lives easier too, such as occasional healthy snacks on the way out the door to help ease the transition until dinnertime. We love the field trips, the garden they grew this summer, the blend of free play and structure and, above all, the AMAZING teachers! To add to it, the other parents and children foster the same positive spirit and learning that the school embodies -- probably why there are so many comments from all the great current and past LPC families!
