Readers’ Choice: Best Place for Pizza

Vote for your favorite in the poll below and a winner will be announced on Aug. 24.

Where can you find the best pizza in our Patch?

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows to nominate the best spots in our Patch.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

Nominations from the community were accepted through July 9, and winners in all Readers' Choice categories will be announced on Aug. 24.

Sign up for the La Grange/La Grange Park Patch newsletter and/or the Western Springs Patch newsletter to get community information and updates on the Readers' Choice contest.

The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17.

I like what I'm seeing so far, but remember, it's got to be in La Grange, La Grange Park or Western Springs to be nominated. So, no Lou Malnati's, unless you want to vote in the Elmhurst poll.

There is a Lou Malnati's in Western Springs. And it gets my vote, too.

I had no idea! I even did a good search to see if I could find one, but must have missed it. I'm a fan of their crust too!

Aurelio's and Lucca's has to be in the mix. Malnati's does have a location in the Garden Market and it is a good deep dish product.

Pisa Pizza, it may be in Countryside but it delivers to La Grange and La Grange Park

Lou's puts them all to shame for Deep Dish. Big fan of Fireside for thin. Lucca's is decent but the rest? Blah. I think folks who grew up here are voting based on nostalgia.

Which one gets your vote, Jason? Sounds like Lou's, but I just wanted to make sure.

Deep Dish to thin crust is an apples-to-orange comparison. But if forced, Lou's wins.

Here's an argument starter. Good pizza comes in a bag. 'nuff said. This is super personal and if you were unfortunate to have grown up anywhere but the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago-you really dont know good pizza. It's ok tough, it's not your fault. Ok, back to pizza. Were not even going to entertain deep dish because it's for tourists, does anyone really know anyone who orders it intentionally? As for my choce, I'm going to stick w/Lagrange... Antoninos. I like the name first of all but again, it's home made to order, not a corporate recipe. Good sauce. Fresh ingrediants. Super friendly place. Parking (for pick up) and...wait for it...IT COMES IN A BAG! Whatever the case, remember, support the local/little guy!

Lucca's! Best thin crust around! Also, they have the most unique specialty pizza's in the area, with some ingredients flown in from Italy weekly. My personal favorite is the Chicken Pesto!!!

I grew up near Antonino's and have been going there since day one. I tried Lucca;s once and their sauce nearly made me gag. It was so bitter. It tasted like it was made entirley out of tomato paste. that was about 10 years ago. I have not dared to try it again. Fireside was just OK in my book. Pisa Pizza is too greasy.
