Village's John Kass, Tribune Columnist, Packs Hinsdale Library

The noted Chicago Tribune columnist and a Western Springs resident even donned Lyons Township colors in the hometown of the Lions' rivals.

Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass spoke Friday night at the and, perhaps not surprisingly, touched on everything from Chicago's Mayor Rahm Emanuel, to Kass' start in journalism, to tipping your hotel door man.

The main floor of the library was nearly filled to hear the Western Springs resident, who donned Lyons Township colors early on to commemorate the Lions' recent win over Hinsdale Central in soccer for the Silver Brick.

On Mayor Emanuel: "I think he has a lot of talent. I actually think he has the kind of decision-making skills that are lacking in our current chief executive."
