LT Speech Team takes 1st and ready for Regionals
The Lyons Township High School Speech Team took first place at the 18-school Ferry Forensics Festival in Vernon Hills over the weekend, narrowly beating out Bartlett High School by a single point. The team took home a beautiful trophy to add to their growing collection. Students earned numerous medals, including nine 1st place medals, four 2nd place medals and 11 3rd place medals.

As a member of the 1966-67 Speech Team all I can say is "Bravo!" to the new generation of Golden Throated Orators! I do have one question. Have they done away with the category of "After Dinner Speaking" or has that been relabeled or subsumed into another category?
