Recently seven Lyons Township High School seniors received word that they were named National Merit Finalists. These same seven students must now wait to hear if they were chosen for a Merit Scholarship.

Finalists achieve this honor by scoring in the top one-half of one percent among students taking the PSAT, a preliminary college entrance exam. More than 1.5 million students entered the competition nationwide. LT students are among 15,000 Finalists who will vie for one of some 8,200 Merit Scholarships.
