Temps Jump Nearly 60 Degrees Monday to Monday

Remember that extreme cold and snow last Monday? There's not a lot to show for it seven days later.

What a difference a week makes.

The high temperature of 46 degrees forecasted for Monday afternoon by the National Weather Service (NWS) is 58 degrees warmer than the high of -12 degrees forecasted by the NWS last Monday.

And all that snow that was dumped on the Western Springs area last weekend is melting away, as large patches of greenish grass are visible outside Hinsdale's Memorial Hall. (See photo above.)

The overnight low Monday into Tuesday will dip to a not-so-bad low of 29 degrees, the NWS forecasts. Snow showers are possible Tuesday, when the high temperature will hit 38 degrees.

Temperatures will slowly work their way back down as the weekend approaches, with a forecasted high of 19 degrees Friday.
