Double Egg-er: LaGrange, Western Springs Host Saturday Egg Hunts

Grab your baskets and hop on over to Tower Green and Sedgwick Park for two Easter egg hunts this Saturday, April 12.


The Easter Bunny will be breezing into the south suburbs this weekend, visiting boys and girls in LaGrange and Western Springs.

Western Springs

Rain or shine, it’s egg hunt time! Hoppy the Bunny will be appearing at the Western Springs Business Association’s egg hunt at Tower Green, at 914 Hillgrove in Western Springs starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 12.

Children are invited to bring their baskets and gather all the eggs they can. Pictures are available with Hoppy the Bunny. Don’t forget to bring your Easter basket.

Then hop on over for the Park District of La Grange’s annual Easter Egg Hunt in beautiful Sedgwick Park located at 10th Avenue and 48th Street in La Grange. This free fun-filled event will create as much fun and laughs for the adults as it will for the kids.

Children up to 8 years of age, grab your baskets and hop on over for the hunt. Over 12,000 eggs filled with candy and toys will be spread all over. Make sure to keep an eye out for a golden ticket that will be hidden amongst all the eggs.

There are separate egg hunt areas, divided by age groups, including:

  • 3 year-olds and under, 10 a.m.
  • 4-5 year olds: 10:10 a.m.
  • 6-8 year olds: 10:20 a.m.

Come early for your pictures with the Easter Bunny from 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Please bring your own camera for pictures!

In case of inclement weather the Easter Egg Hunt will be moved to the Recreation Center, 536 East Avenue, La Grange.
