Rest Within the Rush Advent Services

This Christmas season, First Congregational Church would like to help let the stress of the Christmas season drop from your body, mind and spirit through guided meditation. Come to our annual mid-week Rest Within the Rush Advent services and let your soul be nourished by contemplative music, and let the true meaning of the season envelop your spirit as you reflect on the messages of hope, love, peace and joy in the scriptures. Participants will experience the age-old method of praying the scriptures called Lectio Divina, which means “divine reading.” Join us Wednesday evenings,  Nov 30, Dec 7 and 14 from 7:30-8:30 in the Sanctuary. The series will conclude on December 21, with a labyrinth walk for the longest night from 7-8:30 pm in Plymouth Hall. Whether you attend all of the sessions or just one, you’ll be glad you did!
