Assigned as Western Springs Patch's editor in late August, I've already seen a few pretty major stories play out. During my short time in town, there has been a gunshot scare at LT, a pair of two-burglary days in town, and a new Mariano's announced.

Below I've listed the top three stories of each month I've been editor of Western Springs Patch, according to reader metrics.

I hope you'll tell us in the comments which story you think was the biggest, and which stories I missed out on during the first seven months of 2013.
