La Grange/La Grange Park/Western Springs——A year after a crushing slip at a sectional qualifier ended his junior season, Jack Keelan ran the fastest time in Illinois to claim Saturday’s 3A state championship.

St. Charles—St. Charles Man Charged After 15 Pounds of Cannabis Seized—Sheriff's deputies arrest Frank Brunke, confiscate $15,000 in low-grade cannabis and $1,600 in cash.

Naperville—Snapshot: Smashing Pumpkins Founder Talks to Students from School of RockSmashing Pumpkins founder Billy Corgan speaks to local students.

Hinsdale/Clarendon Hills/Burr Ridge—Hinsdale ManorCare Employee Charged With Theft from Dementia Patient—Myra Gordon, a certified nursing assistant, stole the credit card of a patient and made $580 worth of unauthorized purchases, the DuPage State's Attorney said.

Wheaton—Eric Pence, charged with child pornography, grooming and traveling to meet a minor will undergo a sex offender evaluation.

Downers Grove—Chicago Bears Defensive End Corey Wootton Visits Downers Grove North—Wootton, 25, stopped by North High School with his agent Monday to visit with students in sports and entertainment marketing classes

Glen Ellyn—Glenbard West junior Madeline Perez set a course record in the Class 3A girls race and Glenbard South junior John Wold won the Class 2A boys race at Saturday's state finals in Peoria.

Elmhurst—York Boys Cross Country Seniors Leave Forever Mark With 28th State Title—The York boys cross country team captured an unprecedented 28th state championship at the Class 3A state meet Saturday—all of them coming after legendary Joe Newton took over as head coach in 1960.

Darien/Woodridge—Fire Destroys Home in Bittersweet Court Last Week—The home was full of thick smoke and the second floor was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. According to police, no one was in the home.

My understanding was that the village only bought it so they could split the back yard off from theRead More main lot use the back lot for some kind of village use with the rec center and then sell off the house. The original lot used to go all the way back to the rec center.
