Downers Grove—The DuPage County Health Department reports today that the woman is in her 50s. People older than 50 are at greater risk to contract the virus.

Hinsdale/Clarendon Hills——Metra service on the BNSF railway was stopped Wednesday from 11:51 a.m. to about 4:45 p.m. after a movable crane being used by railroad workers to install a new signal bridge fell onto the tracks.

Burr Ridge——Carlo Woolfolk and Jessica Asbury were arrested on May 3 after a woman claimed the two were holding her against her will at the Extended Stay America hotel in Burr Ridge.

St. Charles—Authorities say the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and struck a tree on Empire Road near Kings Wood Road.

La Grange/La Grange Park——Only a single farmer was left at the La Grange Park Farmers Market on Aug. 7. La Grange Patch discusses what went wrong and if it will be back next year.

Batavia—Eric Mondragon, 27, of Elgin died Wednesday morning after his motorcycle collided with the side of a semi on Kirk Road in Geneva Township, police said.

Wheaton—A Wheaton soldier who died of injuries sustained in an explosion while serving in Afghanistan would have celebrated his 21st birthday Tuesday, Aug. 14. More than 2,500 people honored Spc. Sam Watts by toasting to him for his 21st birthday on Facebook.
