House Hunt: Five Highlands Homes For Sale Close to Western Springs

Let's never forget about our unincorporated southeastern neighbors (and D106 schoolmates) and their pleasant homes and community!

La Grange Highlands, the small unincorporated community to the southeast of Western Springs, features generally more modest homes than those in the Village; the average price of an LGH home for sale (about $292,000) is just over half that of a Western Springs home (about $539,000). However, the lot sizes tend to skew signifigantly larger (and far less-expensive per square foot.)

The community features the same small-town charm as within the Village, shares the well-regarded D106 school district with Western Springs' Springdale, Ridgewood and Timber Trails neighborhoods and blends in so well that it's often hard to tell where Springdale ends and LGH begins to the Village's southeast.

We've found the five La Grange Highlands homes for sale closest to Village boundaries; a couple are just across the street! These houses can be seen as terrific opportunities for Village-quality lifestyles just outside of the actual Village:
