House Hunt: Five Homes Closest to the Mean Average Price

The mean average of residences available for sale in Western Springs is approximately $534,800; we found five homes between $525,000 and $545,000

What does an "average-priced" home in Western Springs look like?? Back in March, we took a look at a few "average" homes, using the median average for homes on sale at the time as a barometer ($465,000 then, $410,000 now... a plausible coincidence, or is the housing market getting still worse? You decide!)

But what if you're more of a mean person? (I mean, not a mean person, but... oh, you know what I mean.) For homes currently on sale, the mean average in town is a litle bit higher than the median, since it gives some heftier weight to homes like 4809 Grand Ave., currently on the market at just under a cool $2 million.

But that's certainly also a measure of "average," right? So we checked the mean average as of Thursday—about $534,800—and found five homes running close to that, between $525,000 and $545,000. Check them out below and above!
