A Sunny Homecoming Weekend is on Tap

The week begins with rain, but crisp, bright days will follow.

The week wil get off to a rainy start, with thunderstorms predicted for Monday through Wednesday. But that's a small price to pay for the glorious homecoming weekend that is to follow.

Think crisp and cool, with maximum sunshine for Saturday's LT homecoming parade and big game against Oak Park-River Forest. Clear and chilly weather is expected to continue for the dance.

Monday: There's a 60 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms today, with expected highs in the low 60s. The night-time low will dip to 52 degrees, with storms continuing into the overnight hours.

Tuesday: If you liked Monday, you'll love Tuesday, which promises more showers and thunderstorms during the day and into the night, a high in the lower 60s, and an overnight low of 53 degrees.

Wednesday: One more rainy day is on tap, although the probability dips to 30 percent, with a high temperature of 64 degrees. Look for partly cloudy skies overnight with a low of 53 degrees.

Thursday: The sun returns with a high of 71 degrees and a minimal 10 percent chance of rain. The overnight low is expected to reach 50 degrees.

Friday: The weather promises to cooperate for the LT pep rally, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 58 degrees predicted. Don't forget your hoodie for the soccer game--the overnight low is expected to drop to 43 degrees.

Saturday: The sun will shine on the Lion's homecoming parade and game, with a high of 58 degrees expected. The overnight low will dip to 44 degrees. The best news: no chance of rain.
