Early Literacy Parent/Caregiver Workshop

Before
children can learn to read, they must develop a range of early literacy skills.

Learning these skills, which begins at birth, has a long-term  impact on
their reading achievement and academic success. You'll learn about early
literacy and why it’s important. As your children’s first teachers you are in
the best position to help your children develop these skills. This workshop
presents the five early literacy practices along with interactive activities
that parents, caregivers and children can enjoy together.

Families and caregivers welcome. Register for this session or the 7-8 p.m. session by calling 708-246-0520 or online at fordlibrary.org.
