Robert Crown Center's Body Trek Summer Camp

Registration is now open for students who want to take an unusual journey through the human body.

The Robert Crown Center for Health Education will offer Body Trek, a summer science camp designed to give kids in sixth through eighth grade an in-depth exploration of the human body and an overview of health and science careers. Body Trek campers meet at the Hinsdale Center, 21 Salt Creek Lane, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. weekdays, June 16-26. They’ll enjoy hands-on learning activities to explore the systems of the body, as well as learning about the benefits of good nutrition and physical fitness.

Body Trek campers have the opportunity to learn through dissecting animal organs, including the brain, eye, heart and lungs. The experience features a field trip to a hospital operating room, where students observe surgical procedures, learn to suture, take a patient’s vital signs and perform routine medical tests using mannequins.
