Catching Up with Western Springs' Steve Dahl

The longtime radio host and celebrity is celebrating the one-year anniversary of the paid podcast he runs from his Western Springs home studio.

The Chicago Tribune has an extended interview with Steve Dahl, discussing the 57-year-old Western Springs resident (since 1980) and longtime radio personality's now yearlong endeavor to produce a pay-for-download podcast from his Village home studio.

And for a bonus, Times of Northwest Indiana also caught up with Steve at his condo in New Buffalo, Michigan, covering much of the same ground.

Highly-influential as a radio host, Dahl is best-known locally for his work with Chicago radio in the 70's and 80's, including his longtime collaboration with Garry Meier (Steve and Garry), as well as his involvement with the infamous Disco Demolition Night at Cominskey Park (Chicagoist recently "celebrated" its 33rd anniversary), Dahl has been operating the "Steve Dahl Network" of podcasts and other media since 2009, and on a paid model since mid-2011.
