Police charged a 15-year-old Brookfield girl with marijuana possession at Lyons Township High School about 8:30 p.m.

Driving Without a License, Insurance

Police charged Thomas Ruiz-Mejia, 21, of Westmont, with driving without a license, without insurance and speeding about 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of 55th Street and Woodland Drive.

iPhone Stolen From School

Someone stole an iPhone that was left unattended in a classroom at Field Park School between 11:40 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. The total estimated loss is $300, police said.

Driving Without a License, Insurance

Police charged Eudocio Marcial, 41, of Hodgkins, with driving without a valid license and speeding near the intersection of 55th Street and Laurel Avenue around 10:25 a.m.

Pickup Stolen

Someone stole a 2004 Ford pickup truck parked in the 700 block of Burlington Avenue between 7:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Man Poses as Water Pump Repairman in Ruse Entry

A man told a resident in the 4100 block of Johnson Avenue he was a worker and that he was supposed to install a water pump in the resident’s backyard around 4:50 p.m. The resident allowed the man inside, but quickly asked him to leave when they believed it was a scam. The resident told police there were three other men in the backyard, who also left without incident, police said. Nothing was reported stolen.

Identity Theft

Someone obtained and used someone’s personal identification to buy three cell phones in the 4700 block of Lawn Avenue. Police said the purchase was made July 31 around 10 a.m.
