Failure to Yield

Zuka Thaql, 54, of Brookfield was charged with failure to yield after hitting an Acura in his Mercedes at Hillgrove and Johnson avenues around noon. Police said Thaql was driving south on Johnson, made a left turn onto Hillgrove and hit the Acura. No one was injured.

Thursday, May 23

3-Car Crash at Ogden and Lawn

Shalunda Shanklin, 34, of Cicero was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after causing a three-car crash at the intersection of Ogden and Lawn avenues around 5:30 p.m. No one was injured, police said.

Wednesday, May 22

Hit and Run

Someone hit a Toyota Corolla parked in the 1000 block of Burlington Avenue around 11:40 a.m. Police said a witness told the owner of the Corolla that a red van driven by an older man had backed from the north side of Burlington and left the area.

Tuesday, May 21

Teen Cited With Failure to Reduce Speed

Jaclyn Puccini, 18, of the 1100 block of Ridge Lane in Western Springs was cited with failing to slow down to avoid a crash in the 4600 block of Gilbert Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Police said Puccini drove a Toyota Camry south on Gilbert behind a Buick Regal, which was stopped in traffic near 47th Street.
