Home Invasion Reported in LG Park

Three masked intruders stole jewelry, cash and a car from a couple in La Grange Park, police say.

A La Grange Park man was tied up in his garage during a home invasion by three masked intruders in the 200 block of Timber Lane around 8 p.m. Wednesday, La Grange Park Police Chief Dan McCollum said Thursday.

Police said a masked woman with a knife confronted the man in his garage and tied him up inside the home. His wife was also home at the time, McCollum said. The female intruder was with two masked males, he said.

The intruders stole three rings from the wife's hand, other jewelry in the home, about $1,300 in cash from the home, and the family's white 2004 Lincoln Town Car. No one was injured, McCollum said.

Specialists from the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit are assisting LaGrange Park Police in the investigation.
