Lots of Underage Drinking, Teens Throw Brick at Car: Police Blotter

Monday, June 24
Underage Drinking
Matthew G. Nolan, 19, of the 400 block of South Stone Avenue in La Grange, was arrested around 12:18 a.m. near the intersection of Wolf and Plainfield roads. An officer said Nolan was almost hit by a car while walking. He stopped Nolan and issued him a local ordinance citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Underage Drinking
Hannah C. Bruce, 20, of the 4200 block of Howard Avenue in Western Springs, was arrested around 12:13 a.m. in the 4200 block of Howard Avenue, police said. Officers responded to a call about a loud party with underage drinking, according to the report. Bruce was issued local ordinance citations for consumption of alcohol by a minor and disorderly conduct.

Underage Drinking
Matthew C. Carey, 20, of the 600 block of 52nd Place in Western Springs, and Nicole T. Nolan, 20, of the 400 block of Stone Avenue in La Grange, were arrested around 2:42 a.m. near intersection of Wolf Road and Burlington Avenue, police said. An officer said the pair was walking after they had drunk alcohol earlier in the evening. Both Carey and Nolan were issued local ordinance citations.

Underage Drinking
A 16-year-old La Grange girl was arrested around 10:14 p.m. in the 3800 block of Grand Avenue and issued a local ordinance citation after police found her with alcohol.
Tuesday, June 18
Rock Damages Window
Someone threw a rock and damaged a first-floor window of a vacant commercial building in the 4700 block of Commonwealth Avenue, police said. The incident happened sometime between June 1 and June 18.
DUI Near Wolf and Hillgrove
Virginia Baez, 41, of the 600 block of South 6th Avenue in La Grange, was arrested around 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of Wolf Road and Hillgrove Avenue. Police said they got a call that a woman, who appeared to be drunk, was driving too closely behind another car. When officers pulled Baez over, they said she had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. Baez failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Monday, June 17
Teens Throw Brick at Occupied Car
Three teenage boys reportedly threw a brick at a car stopped near the intersection of 52nd Place and Caroline Avenue around midnight, police said. The brick damaged the front of the car but did not injure the driver. The teens could not be identified.
No Driver’s License
Ramon Ocampo-Barrera, 54, of the 1700 block of North Albany Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 10:48 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and Interstate 294, police said. He was charged with improper lane usage and driving without a valid license.
