Man Charged After Leaving Obscene Voicemail on Woman's Phone

Identity Theft Reported


Police said an unknown person fraudulently used a personal account of a victim from the 4000 block of Woodland Avenue to purchase $193.24 worth of cable TV service some time in September or October.

The identity theft was reported at 11:46 a.m.

THURSDAY, OCT. 10

Lewd Message Results in Charges 


Brian Dingman, 23, of the 300 block of Dorchester Lane, Grayslake, was charged with transmitting an obscene message, police said, after an investigation confirmed he called the cell phone of an adult Western Springs woman at 1:57 a.m. Oct. 7 and left an obscene and lewd voicemail that alarmed the victim. 

Dingman was charged at 2:15 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Western Springs Police Department.
