Marijuana Possession at LTHS, Warrant Arrest: Police Blotter
Western Springs police reports, March 7-10.
Sunday, March 10
Suspended license
Matthew M. Lester, 30, of the 400 block of East Edwards Street in Ridgeway, was arrested around 11:47 a.m. near the intersection of Ogden and Hampton avenues, police said. He was stopped for speeding and charged with driving with a suspended license.

No valid license
Diana L. Newlin, 43, of the 4400 block of Harvey Avenue in Western Springs, was arrested around 8:35 a.m. near the intersection of Franklin and Hillgrove avenues, police said. She was stopped and charged after police said a random registration check confirmed she did not have a valid drivers license.
Traffic warrant arrest
Roderick M. Young, 38, of the 0S500 block of White Burch Lane in Wheaton, was arrested around 12:06 p.m. near the intersection of Ellington and Ogden avenues, police said. He was stopped for speeding and arrested on a traffic warrant out of DuPage County.

Wednesday, March 6
Driving without a license
Felipe P. Melo, 43, of the 3300 block of West 64th Place in Chicago, was arrested around 3:59 a.m. near the intersection of Howard Avenue and 47th Street, police said. Police stopped Melo because his car had only one working headlight. He was charged with driving without a license and having only one headlight.
Marijuana possession
A 16-year-old Brookfield boy was arrested around 10:45 a.m. in the 4900 block of Gilbert Avenue. He was issued citations after police said they found a small amount of marijuana on him, as well as an item used for doing drugs, at Lyons Township South High School.
