Illegal Driver

Miguel A. Uribe, 18, of the 13900 block of Brair Lane, Plainfield, was stopped on the 1100 block of Kemman Avenue for driving with only one headlight at 1:31 a.m. and was charged with driving without a valid license, police said.


Items Stolen, Recovered

Several items, including a television, stereo, computer and miscellaneous jewelry, were reportedly stolen from an unlocked common area of an apartment building on the 1400 block of East 31st Street. Police said that the items were all "recovered/returned by an acquaintance after the report was filed."


Illegal Driver II

Dennis W. Ryan, 40, of the 3000 block of Prairie Avenue, Brookfield, was stopped for driving without a front license plate on the 1100 block of La Grange Road at 5:56 a.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license, police said.

Graffiti I

Graffiti was reportedly spray-painted on the Jackson Avenue bridge across Salt Creek at an unspecified time.

Graffiti II

Graffiti was reportedly sprayed on park equipment in Memorial Park at an unspecified time.


Nativity Decapitated

The head of "a nativity-scene figure" was removed from the front yard of a home on the 1100 block of East 31st Street overnight. The cost of the theft was estimated at less than $500.

Garbage Can Stolen

An aluminum garbage can was taken from the parkway in front of a residence on the 700 block of Stone Avenue. The theft was valued at less than $500.
