Saturday, Aug. 28, 1:30 p.m.: Someone stole $500 from a wallet misplaced inside the 7-11 Store on Hillgrove Avenue, at approximately 1:07 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 28, 6:20 p.m.: Somebody took three unlocked children's bicycles from a front yard on the 4500 block of Clausen Avenue, sometime between 4:15 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. The value of the stolen bikes was approximately $1,050.

Saturday, Aug. 28, 10:25 p.m.: Several household items and $10,000 in cash were reported stolen from a home on 51st Place after someone broke in through a back door sometime between 7 p.m. and 10:20 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 25, 4:00 p.m.: Andrew Simpson, 18, of 4564 Wolf Road, was arrested and charged with intentionally hitting privately owned landscaping equipment with his vehicle.
Thursday, Aug. 26, 8:58 p.m.: Gabriel A. Munoz, 44, of 3121 N. Mango Avenue, Chicago, was stopped for driving without his headlights on. He was also found to be driving without a valid license or insurance, and was arrested.
Thursday, Aug. 26, 11:25 p.m.: A 19-year-old Western Springs woman was issued a local ordinance citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor after officers visited the residence in response to an unwanted-person call.
Friday, Aug. 27, 10:50 a.m.: Candy Newman, 52, of 2633 Clarence Avenue was arrested at the Western Springs Police Department after violating a court-issued order of protection.
Friday, Aug. 27, 1:20 p.m.: A 14-year-old boy was arrested for possession of a small amount of suspected marijuana at Lyons Township High School.
Saturday, Aug. 28, 1:39 a.m.: Casey Gaik, 63, of 3500 Spring Road, Oak Brook, was arrested and charged with a DUI after being found in his car at the 500 block of 55th Street with slurred speech and injuries. Officers were responding to a report of a vehicle fleeing the scene of an accident. The defendant was sent to La Grange Hospital, and also charged with leaving an accident and improper driving.
Saturday, Aug. 28, 9:44 a.m.: A 25-year-old Burr Ridge man was charged with fueling $25 worth of gas without paying. He was issued a local ordinance citation.
