Police Blotter: 7-Eleven Sign Damaged, Accused iPod Thief Caught

Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1:50 p.m.; Criminal Damage to Property: Someone damaged the store sign of the 7-Eleven convenience store located at the corner of Hillgrove Avenue and Central Avenue. The cost to repair the damage was estimated at about $1,000.

Citations/Charges

Tuesday, Oct. 11, 3:20 p.m.; Theft: Linda L. Klimas, 54, of 8759 82nd Ave., Hickory Hills, was arrested at her home and charged with the theft of a misplaced iPod at the Garden Market Dominick's on the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 9.

Wednesday, Oct. 12, 10:26 a.m.; Driving While License Suspended, Speeding: Maria Hernandez, 42, of 621 Talcott Rd., Park Ridge, was stopped for speeding at the corner of Ogden Avenue and Franklin Avenue and was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Wednesday, Oct. 12, 3:15 p.m.; Disorderly Conduct: Two 15-year-old La Grange boys were issued local ordinance citations after being involved in a fight on the Lyons Township High School South Campus. One of the boys sustained minor injuries and was treated by the LTHS staff nurse.

Friday, Oct. 14, 4:08 p.m.; Driving While License Suspended: Nina Jimenez, 27, of 5237 S. Rockwell Ave., Chicago, was stopped on the 3900 block of Franklin Avenue for speeding and was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Sunday, Oct. 16, 12:33 a.m.; Consumption of Alcohol by Minor, Curfew Violation: A 16-year-old La Grange girl was issued two local ordinance citations after a patrol officer observed her in the front yard of a residence on the 4500 block of Grand Avenue.

Sunday, Oct. 16, 7:56 a.m.; No Valid Driver's License, No Insurance, Driving Without Headlights When Required: Santos Najera-Martinez, 32, of 5301 Talman Ave., Chicago, was stopped at the corner of Ogden Avenue and Hampton Avenue for driving without headlights when it was required due to rain, and charged with driving without a license or insurance.

Sunday, Oct. 16, 10:51 p.m.; DUI Alcohol, Speeding, Only One Headlight: Patrick M. Sullivan, 62, of 4740 Saratoga Ave., Downers Grove, was stopped at the corner of 55th Street and I-294 for speeding. After the patrol officer noticed the defendant's bloodshot and glassy eyes, he was offered field sobriety tests and then arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
