Tuesday, Jul. 26, 8:30 a.m.; Burglary to Motor Vehicle, Theft, Criminal Damage to Property: Someone smashed the front passenger-side window of a locked car parked on the upper lot in Spring Rock Park and stole a purse with several "valuables" of undetermined avlue. The burglary occurred sometime in the hour before 8:21 a.m.
Wednesday, Jul. 27, 7:51 a.m.; Theft From Motor Vehicle, Criminal Damage to Vehicle: Someone stole a catalytic converter valued at $2000 from underneath a car parked on the 1100 block of Burlington Avenue sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday.

Monday, Jul. 25, 7:40 p.m.; Possession of Cannabis: Two Countryside men, aged 21 and 25, were each issued a local ordinance citation for possession of marijuana. They were stopped at the corner of 47th Street and Wolf Road after a passing officer smelled the odor of cannabis coming from the car, and found to be in possession of a small amount of the drug.
Tuesday, Jul. 26, 4:39 p.m.; Driving While License Suspended, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid Accident: Marcus R. Molina, 20 of 1225 S. 58th Ave., Cicero, was arrested after striking another vehicle in an injury-free accident on the corner of Wolf Road and Burlington Avenue and being found to be driving with a suspended license.
Wednesday, Jul. 27, 12:39 p.m.; Driving While License Suspended, Driving With a Defective Muffler, Failure to Secure Child in Child Seat: Graciela Nunez, 38, of 1944 N. 18th Ave., Melrose Park, was stopped for driving a car with a loud and broken muffler and was found to be driving with a suspended license, as well as for failing to secure her child properly in a child seat.
