Police Blotter: Chair of Twigs Stolen, Underage Alcohol in Old Town North

Tuesday, May 31, 10:57 a.m.; Theft: An unknown person stole a chair made out of twigs from in front of Stems and Twigs on the 900 block of Burlington Avenue sometime between the previous Saturday at 10:00 p.m. and Sunday at 7:00 a.m.; the chair was valued at $125.
Tuesday, May 31, 4:45 p.m.; Theft: Someone stole an unlocked men's bicycle from a residential driveway from the 4800 block of Johnson Avenue sometime between 10:00 p.m. Monday and 7:00 a.m. Tuesday; the bike was valued at $150.

Wednesday, June 1, 1:18 p.m.; Theft from Motor Vehicle: Someone stole a wheel and a rim assembly from a parked vehicle in the parking lot of Mike & Henry's on the 0-100 block of Ogden Avenue sometime between Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.; the value of the stolen items was not estimated.
Wednesday, June 1, 5:07 p.m.; Theft: Someone stole a girl's bicycle left unlocked and unattended outside Laidlaw School sometime between 9:00 a.m. the prior Friday and 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday; the bike was valued at $50.

Charges/Citations
Wednesday, May 27, 8:30 a.m.; Possession of Cannabis, Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, Improper Backing: Moises J. Hernandez, 19, of 4526 Blanchan Ave., Brookfield, was charged with improper backing, posession of cannabis and consumption of alcohol by a minor on the 3800 block of Forest Avenue. Two Western Springs 19-year-olds were also in the vehicle and were issued local ordinance citations for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
