Police Blotter: DUI Woman Flees Officers, Two Vehicle Hit-and-Runs

Here's the Western Springs police blotter from August 1 through August 8.

Incidents/Reports

Monday, Aug. 1, 5:47 p.m.; Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash: An unknown commercial vehicle and driver struck a traffic signal at the southwest corner of 47th Street and Wolf Road and left the scene (east on 47th Street) without stopping.

Thursday, Aug. 4, 7:30 a.m.; Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash: An unknown car and driver struck an unoccupied vehicle on the 4000 block of Lawn Avenue sometime between 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 7:15 a.m. on Thursday and left without notifying anyone.

Thursday, Aug. 4, 7:49 p.m.; Criminal Trespass to Motor Vehicle: Someone illegally entered two unlocked cars parked on the 4000 block of Clausen Avenue, disturbing several items but taking nothing. This occurred between 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 6:45 a.m. on Thursday.

Charges/Citations

Monday, Aug. 1, 10:45 p.m.; No Valid Driver's License, Improper Displace of a Revoked License, Allowing Unauthorized Person to Drive, Following Too Closely: Diana A. Flores, 22, of 6059 S. 74th Ct., Summit, was stopped at the corner of Forest Avenue and Ogden Avenue for following a vehicle too closely and was charged with driving without a valid license. Omar Villasenor, 18, of 112 Olympic Dr., Bolingbrook, was arrested for unlawfully displaying a revoked driver's license and for allowing an unauthorized person to operate a car.

Tuesday, Aug. 2, 10:50 p.m.; Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A 16-year-old Hinsdale boy was issued a local ordinance citation at the corner of Hampton Avenue and Oak Street for consuming alcohol.

Saturday, Aug. 6, 10:15 a.m.; Driving While License Suspended, Driving While Registration Suspended: Consuelo Nakhal, 77, of 32 S. Grant Ave., Westmont, was stopped for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and also found to be driving with a suspended license.

Saturday, Aug. 6, 8:05 p.m.; DUI Alcohol, DUI B.A.C. of 0.08 or More, Resisting a Peace Officer, Illegal Possession of Alcohol by a Minor, Speeding: Nadjia S. Lloyd, 20, of 4421 Cross St., Downers Grove, was stopped for speeding and administered field sobriety tests. After being arrested for DUI and being handcuffed, she fled the scene on foot for approximately 50 yards before being recaptured by officers with no further incident; she was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
