Police Blotter: Expensive Tools Stolen from Timber Trails, Teen Booze Party in Field Park

Incidents/Reports

Tuesday, Mar. 15, 1:36 p.m.; Theft, Criminal Damage to Property: Someone cut a padlock to break into a construction storage container at the corner of Burr Oak Drive and Hawthorne Lane in Timber Trails overnight between Monday at 3:20 p.m. and Tuesday at 7:00 a.m..The offender stole approximately $3,374 worth of power tools.

Charges/Citations

Sunday, Mar. 13, 12:18 p.m.; Driving While License Suspended, Suspended Registration, Tinted License Plate Covers: Leo S. Chinnaswamy, 38, of 7765 S. Mason Ave., Burbank, was stopped at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Ogden Avenue for having a tinted license plate cover and was arrested for driving with a suspended license and registration.

Monday, Mar. 14, 1:13 p.m.; Arrest Warrants, Driving While License Suspended, No Insurance, Failure to Wear Seat Belt: Michael L. Marshall, 34, of 410 Bellwood Ave., Bellwood, was stopped for failure to wear a seat belt at the corner of 47th Street and Gilbert Avenue. A records check showed that he was driving with a suspended license and no insurance, as well as wanted on outstanding arrest warrants from the Westmont Police Department and the Hillside Police Department.

Friday, Mar. 18, 10:44 p.m.; Posession/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, Possession of Drug Paraphanalia: Six individuals were issued local ordinance citations after police responded to reports of "general mischief" in Field Park (4300 block of Howard Avenue). Five individuals were issued local ordinance citations for possession of and/or consumption of alcohol by a minor: an 18-year-old Indian Head Park man, two 18-year-old Countryside men, an 18-year-old Western Springs woman and a 16-year-old La Grange girl.  A 17-year-old Indian Head Park girl was also issued citations for both posession of alcohol by a minor and for posession of drug paraphanalia. (Note: Patch does not print the names of persons issued local ordinance citations.)
