Minors Caught With Alcohol

Two 17-year-old males from Western Springs were arrested for consumption of alcohol by a minor at about 12:11 a.m. at 55th Street and Woodland Drive.

SATURDAY, AUG. 11

Two Incidents of Underage Drinking

In two separate incidents, police arrested minors for consumption of alcohol. In the first, at about 2 a.m., a 19-year-old man from Brookfield and a 20-year-old man from Brookfield were arrested and issued local ordinance citation at 55th Street and Wolf Road.

In the second incident, at about 11:30 p.m., two 18-year-old Western Springs residents and an 18-year-old man from Willowbrook, Ill. were arrested and issued local ordinance citations for underage drinking. Police discovered the three men hiding behind a tree at 53rd Street and Caroline Avenue.

Fence Damaged

Police received a report of a resident's damaged fence at about 12:10 a.m. The report stated the fence was damaged intentionally and the resulting damage was estimated at $40.

THURSDAY, AUG. 8

Minor Caught With Alcohol

An 18-year-old La Grange man was arrested and issued a local ordinance citation at about 1:47 a.m. at Burlington Avenue and Franklin Avenue.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 7

Theft of Power Tools Reported

An unknown person stole numerous power tools from an unlocked and unmanned construction truck at 48th Street and Wolf Road, police learned at about 11:04 a.m. The loss of the tools was estimated at $11,540 and is believed of have occurred sometime on Aug. 7 between 10:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.
