Police Blotter: Stolen Jewelry, Busted Fence

All Western Springs police blotter items from Aug. 15 to Aug. 22

Incidents/Reports

Monday, Aug. 16, 12:29 p.m.: Someone entered an unoccupied home in the 3800 block of Hampton Avenue sometime between 10am and 12:20pm and removed  several pieces of jewelry and approximately $2,000 in cash. The value of the stolen jewelry was not estimated.

Wednesday, Aug. 18, 9:01 a.m.: Somebody caused damage to an exterior bathroom window at the Western Springs Train Station (900 block of Burlington Avenue.)

Saturday, Aug. 21, 9:08 p.m.: A woman's bicycle valued at $100 was stolen from the front yard of a residence on the 1100 block of Birch Lane.

Sunday, Aug. 22, 9:51 a.m.: Someone was reported to have intentionally damaged a fence at the 4700 block of Howard Ave sometime between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Damage was estimated at $100.

Charges/Citations

Thursday, Aug. 19, 4:08 p.m.: Francis J. Flory Jr., 43, of 1518 Race St., was stopped and arrested on the 3900 block of Hampton Avenue After a random vehicle registration check, he was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Saturday, Aug. 21, 1:15 a.m.: An 18-year-old Chicago man was issued a local ordinance citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor on the 4700 block of Gilbert Ave.
