WSPD Blotter: 'Suspicious' Guy With Bong, $500 Bike Stolen from Downtown

Monday, Dec. 12, 2:00 p.m.; Theft: Somone stole an unlocked men's bicycle left at a bike rack at the Western Springs Train Station. The theft occurred on Thursday, Dec. 8 between 8:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.; the bike was valued at $500.

Citations/Charges

Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2:11 p.m.; Possession of Alcohol by a Minor: A 16-year-old La Grange boy was detained at Lyons Township High School and issued a local ordinance citation after being found in posession of alcohol.

Wednesday, Dec. 14, 8:02 p.m.; Driving While License Suspended, Driving Without Headlights When Required: Dorota G. Makowska, 29, of 8052 W. 82nd St., Justice, was stopped for driving at night without headlights on the 4700 block of Woodland Avenue and was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Thursday, Dec. 15, 12:35 p.m.; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Joseph M. Chambers, 28, of 23 Fernwood Rd., Montgomery, was arrested after police responded to a report of a suspicious person on the 5200 block of Howard Avenue. After an officer located the defendant, he was charged with possession of a metal pipe used for smoking drugs.
