Police Issue 57 Speeding, 37 Seatbelt Citations in 'Click it or Ticket' Campaign

Western Springs police partnered with other law enforcement agencies to crack down on motorists May 14-27.

The Western Springs Police Department earlier this month partnered with other state and local law enforcement agencies to crack down on motorists with a "Click it or Ticket" campaign.

According to a news release from the Western Springs Police Department, "Memorial Day mobilization period," lasted May 14 through May 27.

During the mobilization period, police issued:

  • 37 seatbelt citations and one child safety seat citation
  • Three DUIs
  • Two suspended/revoked license citations
  • 57 speeding citations and 
  • Two drug possession arrests.
