Two Men in Ski Masks Rob Helzberg Diamonds at Gunpoint

Oak Brook police are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Two armed men robbed Helzberg Diamonds, 3031 Butterfield Road in Oak Brook, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, according to Oak Brook police.

The two men walked into the jewelry store, at Oak Brook Promenade, wearing ski masks. One man displayed a handgun, while the second man used a baseball bat to smash a glass display case, police said. They both grabbed jewelry from the case, then fled on foot, heading northbound towards Butterfield Road.

One man was wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, blue jeans and tan boots. The second offender was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, yellow gloves, blue jeans and black shoes.
