Improper lane usage
Kirk C. Ward, 44, of the 2300 block of Sherwood Avenue in Westchester, was cited for improper lane usage around 10:28 a.m. in the 5400 block of Wolf Road, police said. He struck another car when he merged into the left turn lane, police said.

Failure to reduce speed
Krista M. Kamp, 18, was cited around 10:03 a.m. for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident near the intersection of 47th Street and Central Avenue, police said. Kamp struck another car that slowed down to make a left turn when she moved from the curb lane to the median lane, police said.

George A. Karavas, 32, of the 1000 block of Hummingbird Way in Bartlett, was cited around 12:17 p.m. for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident near the intersection of Hillgrove and Gilbert avenues, police said. Karavas struck a car that was traveling southbound through the intersection while he was driving westbound, police said.

Alec James Ramp, 19, of the 300 block of North Kensington in La Grange Park, was cited around 4 p.m. for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at the intersection of 47th Street and Gilbert Avenue, police said. Ramp rear-ended a car that was stopped at the light, police said.

Improper lane usage
Janet A. Wolf, 43, of the 700 block of North Catherine Avenue in La Grange, was cited for improper lane usage after police said she sideswiped a stopped car at the intersection of Hillgrove and Gilbert around 5:29 p.m. Wolf pulled around a car that was stopped at the stop sign while a train traveled through the intersection and attempted to make a right turn, police said. In the process, police said her car scraped the other car.
