Purse Stolen from Garage, Downtown DUI: Western Springs Police Blotter

Western Springs police reports, Dec. 10-17.

MONDAY, DEC. 17

Purse Taken from Car in Garage

Someone reportedly entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a garage on the 4800 block of Woodland Avenue sometime between 9:00 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday and stole a purse containing documents, credit cards and other items. The estimated value of the stolen goods was $30.

Illegal Driver I

Marvin Romero, 37, of the 1000 block of Keeler Avenue, Chicago, was stopped at 8:50 a.m. on the 5700 block of Wolf Road for having a suspended registration and only one headlight, police said. I was charged with driving wtihout a license.

DUI on Burlington

John S. Osga, 43, of the 300 block of Park Avenue, River Forest, was stopped at 12:58 a.m. on the 1100 block of Burlington Avenue for having an expired registration, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after failing field sobriety tests, police said.

FRIDAY, DEC. 14

Illegal Driver II

Peter E. Dipalomares, Jr., 20, of the 8900 block of Monroe Avenue, Brookfield, was stopped at the corner of 47th Street and Interstate 294 for driving with a loud/defective muffler, police said. He was charged with driving without a license. The defendant was also issued local ordinance citations for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

TUESDAY, DEC. 11

Illegal Driver III

Margarito Carmona, 43, of the 8100 block of West Salisbury Avenue, Lyons, was stopped at the corner of Ogden and Harvey avenues at 9:39 a.m. for speeding, police said. He was charged with driving with a suspended license.
