Western Springs Woman Badly Injured in Darien Crash

A 20-year-old woman from the Village was transported to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital with "serious" injuries.

An 20-year-old Ridgewood woman was badly injured in last Wednesday at around 8:15 a.m. that sent her and two others to hospitals, according to Willowbrook police.

The Western Springs 20-year-old was travelling west on Plainfield Road when her car struck that of Barbara Dindia, 72, of Hinsdale, who had failed to yield while making a left turn. According to police, Dindia had tried to turn left as light turned yellow. (Because the 20-year-old was not at fault in the accident, Patch is witholding her name.)

Both drivers were taken to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, while Dindia's passenger, a 90-year-old man, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. All were reported to have serious injuries.
