WESTMONT BLOTTER: Traffic Stops Yield Cannabis, Cocaine Discoveries

Westmont police reports, June 30 through July 5.

MONDAY JUNE 30

Sometime between 1:30 and 6 a.m., an unknown offender(s) entered an apartment in the 500 block of Brookside Drive and stole electronics. Total loss is $935.


TUESDAY JULY 1

Officers performed a traffic stop in the 300 block of West Ogden Avenue for a registration violation around 11:50 a.m. Martin Lopez, 19, of Melrose Park, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited for improper registration cover and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance.


At approximately 3:20 p.m., officers performed a traffic stop in the 800 block of East Ogden Avenue for a registration violation. Officers arrested Gerardo Cuellar-Soto, 33, of Chicago, for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was cited for expired registration, overweight on registration, and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance.

WEDNESDAY JULY 2


Timothy Crosson, 27, of Westmont, was charged with driving under the influence at the scene of an accident in the 200 block of South Cass Avenue around 8:15 p.m. He was released on his own recognizance.


A Westmont man faces multiple charges of domestic battery, violation of bond and resisting a peace officer. Officers arrested Bill Torres, 36, while responding to a battery call in the 6700 block of Cedar Lane around 6:30 p.m. Torres was transported to the DuPage County Jail for a bond hearing.


At approximately 9:45 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of West Naperville Road for a battery. Officers charged Terry McKee, 65, of Westmont, for battery after he allegedly punched someone in the face. He was released on his own recognizance.


FRIDAY JULY 4


Officers stopped a car driven by Marcus Caldwell, 25, of Bolingbrook, for a registration violation in the 5800 block of South Fairview Avenue around 12:20 p.m. Caldwell was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license and expired registration. He was released on his own recognizance.

While performing a traffic stop in the 200 block of West Naperville Road for a moving violation, police arrested Marylisa Uccardi, 53, of Darien, for possession of a cocaine and driving with a suspended driver’s license.around 4:20 p.m. She was also cited for improper lane usage and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. She was transported to the DuPage County Jail for a bond hearing.


SATURDAY JULY 5

At approximately 1:35 AM, officers responded to the 6700 block of Alpine Lane for a battery report. Officers arrested Javier Torres, age 30, of Westmont, for domestic battery after police said he struck a household member. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail for a bond hearing.


Officers arrested Darren Meadows, 24, of Willbrook, on charges of possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia while performing a traffic stop in the 6300 block of South Cass Avenue around 7:40 a.m. Meadows was also cited  for expired registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance.
