Neighbor Issues

Nancy L. Timyan, 51, of the 3900 block of Ellington Avenue, Western Springs, was charged with disorderly conduct and telephone harassment, police said, after an investigation confirmed her role in two separate offenses on her block last week.

Deputy chief Brian Budds of the Western Springs Police Department said that at 1:10 p.m. on Nov. 19, Timyan allegedly "spread a powdery substance and other debris" on a neighbor’s front entry area and other debris near the neighbor's fence, causing the neighbor to become "alarmed and disturbed."

That incident occurred after Timyan allegedly harassed the same neighbor by phone on Nov. 18, police said.

Timyan was charged after police located her in her vehicle in the 1000 block of Hillgrove Avenue at 3:35 p.m. Nov. 19. She was released on recognizance bond to appear in court.
