Woman Charged with Dominick's Theft Is LTHS Gym Teacher
The teacher was arrested for a Class A misdemeanor, accused of attempting to shoplift $115 in merchandise.
Retail theft arrests from the Dominick's grocery store in Western Springs have been surprisingly common over the past few weeks, with four incidents in the past two police blotters ( and ). Now, according to a report by mysuburbanlife.com, one of those alleged theives has been identified as a Lyons Township High School gym teacher.
The defendant was originally charged as Susan J. Momsen, 57, of 941 S. 8th Ave., La Grange, but, according to the mysuburbanlife.com report, Western Springs Deputy Chief of Police Brian Budds has confirmed that Momsen is also known as Susan Schneider, LTHS gym teacher.
Momsen/Schneider was arrested at 3:52 p.m. on Feb. 18th at the Western Springs Dominick's and charged with attempting to shoplift $115.15 in store merchandise. The mysuburbanlife.com report states that the merchandise included "groceries, alcohol and makeup."
