WSPD Blotter: 3 Teens Arrested; Window Damaged at Restaurant

Monday, Dec. 19, 4:43 p.m.; Possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to yield, violation of state’s graduated licensing law: Three teen-agers between the ages of 16 and 17 were arrested after Western Springs police stopped a car at the 4300 block of Woodland Avenue .
Police stopped a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old male from La Grange Park and ticketed him for failure to yield, as well as for violation of the state’s graduated licensing law. In addition, he was charged with possession of marijuana after the police officer smelled a suspected marijuana odor emanating from inside the vehicle and from its three occupants.

A 16-year-old La Grange Park male, who was seated in the rear of the vehicle, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A La Grange male, age 17, seated in the front passenger seat, also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Monday, Dec. 26, 8:56 p.m.; Criminal damage to property: A 15-year-old male from Western Springs was charged with criminal damage to property after he was accused of intentionally damaging a fence at a private residence in the 4500 block of Central Avenue. The amount of damage was estimated at under $300.

Monday, Dec. 26, 6:50 p.m.; Window damaged: A large window located at the front of the Great Wall Restaurant, 5530 Wolf Road, was damaged by an unknown person. Police said the person used a metal projectile to damage the window. The cost to replace the window is unknown.
