WSPD Blotter: Booze Thief Arrested, Bike Stolen From Field Park.

Wednesday, Apr. 4, 8:42 a.m.; Theft: Someone stole a bicycle that was unattended and locked to a bike rack at Field Park Elementary School sometime between 8:30 a.m. on Mar. 22 and sometime on Apr. 1. The bike was valued at approximately $190.

Citations/Charges

Wednesday, Apr. 4, 1:22 p.m.; Driving While License Suspended, Speeding: Stephen V. Thompson, 37, of 6833 S. Claremont, Chicago, was stopped at the corner of 55th Street and I-294 for speeding and was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Thursday, Apr. 5, 6:58 p.m.; Retail Theft: Matthew J. Heinzel, 45, of 7994 St. Garfield Ave., Burr Ridge, was arrested and charged with a Class 3 felony after an investigation indicted him in the theft of $329.73 in alcohol from the Garden Market Dominick's grocery on Mar. 10. The beverages were recovered by store staff on the day of the alleged theft.

Friday, Apr. 6, 10:10 p.m.; Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A 16-year-old La Grange Park boy was stopped in Springdale Park after its closing and issued a local ordinance citation for consumption of an alcoholic beverage.
