Bill Daley Drops Out of Illinois Governor's Race

Bill Daley has dropped out of the Illinois governor's race.

Bill Daley has dropped out of next year's Democratic primary for Illinois governor, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Daley's decision leaves Gov. Pat Quinn with no major opposition in the primary the newspaper reported. Daley told the Tribune that running for office wasn't "the best thing for me."

Attached to this post is analysis by North Central College professor Stephen Caliendo.

"Why it took him this long to figure out that this wasn't something he wanted to do is a little surprising," Caliendo said.
