New Cancer Center Near Western Springs on Tuesday Agenda
The $48 million Adventist Cancer Institute would be built near Ogden Avenue and I-294 in Hinsdale.
Approval of a new 54,000-square-foot cancer center in Hinsdale is on the agenda for Tuesday night's Village of Hinsdale Board of Trustees meeting.

The Adventist Cancer Institute is planned for the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Salt Creek Lane near I-294. The Hinsdale Board of Trustees' Zoning and Public Safety (ZPS) Committee voted unanimously to recommend board approval of the cancer center's site plan and exterior appearance last month.
Those items will be voted on by the full board Tuesday.

The Adventist Cancer Institute, as it's referred to on its webpage, would cost $48 million to construct.
According to the webpage, the facility would contain 18 treatment rooms with "entertainment centers and other high-tech comforts," five "patient bays" for group socializing, and 21 exam rooms.
There will also be imaging services on site along with two linear accelerators.
Tuesday night's board of trustees meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
